Free Will Writing

The next Free Will Writing Month runs from 23^rd September to 1^st November 2024

Did you know that 54% of adults have not written a Will? Without one, you are not fully in control of things like who will care for your pets, dependent children and your estate. Writing a Will ensures your wishes will be fulfilled and loved ones provided for after your death.

Thanks to the generosity from a number of local solicitors and businesses offering their time and expertise for free, we are able to provide to you and your loved ones the opportunity to have a standard Will written or updated during our Free Will Writing campaign.

Please note that the cost of a standard straightforward Will costs approximately £450+. At the time of making the appointment, please ensure you advise the solicitor/business of an outline of your requirements. They will then let you know if there will be a charge if it does not fall within the simple standard Will or update.

We are very proud to be able to provide our services to our patients and their loved ones completely free of charge. While the Hospice does get some NHS/Government funding many are surprised to learn that we have to self-generate two-thirds.

You are under no obligation to include our charity in your Will or make a donation. However, once you have provided for those closest to you, we hope you will take the opportunity to consider our charity. This will help us continue to provide our services to those with life-limiting and terminal illnesses so that they can live life to the full and equip them to die with dignity. Thank you
