Fancy a free-falling adrenaline experience? Skydive with Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care!
As you arrive in the sky at an altitude of 10,000 or 15, 000ft, it is time to take your tandem skydive! Feel the rush as you fall at 125mph; before releasing your parachute to enjoy the view as you float to the ground. If you want to feel the wind in your hair, this is the experience for you!

We have a large amount of people signing up to take part on 9th September and would love for anyone to join in the fun and excitement on this day.
You can jump for the hospice on a date suitable for you! Please visit the Go Skydive website here and choose ‘Book your own jump date’ to sign up to your sky dive.
We ask you to fundraise a minimum of £450 for 10,000 ft & £550 for 15,000 feet (this total includes the £50 deposit and jump costs)
The £50 deposit is required first when you register for your skydive (a non-refundable deposit).

If you are successful in the ballot, we would still love to have you on Woking & Sam Beare Hospices team. There is no fundraising target for runners with their own place, simply raise as much as you can! Please contact the Events Team on the details below to let us know.

Surrey Half Marathon
Join our team of hospice runners for the Mercer Surrey Half Marathon on Sunday 06 March 2022.
Surrey’s largest half marathon promises a high-quality racing experience for every level of runner; attracting a perfect mix of new and returning runners back each year.
The chip-timed 13.1 mile run follows a professionally marked and measured single loop along fully-closed roads from central Woking into the surrounding countryside. This picturesque race is made all the more popular and enjoyable by live performances from local bands, aid stations and communities of cheering spectators.

Whether you climb a mountain or give up chocolate for a month – a challenge is a personal journey and we are here to support you all the way if you would like to combine your efforts with fundraising for the Hospice.
Simply register your challenge using the green link at the top and bottom of this page and let us know all the details of what you are hoping to achieve, what your personal motivation is and what you fundraising target is and our Events Team will be in touch to help inspire your efforts.
Ideas for challenges
You can take part in a challenge event arrange by someone else and still fundraise for us. But you can also arrange your own event and let us know about it.
Here are a few ideas that may inspire you if you are arranging your own challenge:
Give up something; for example food, alcohol, TV etc. or commit to weight loss and regaining your fitness]
Do something every day; from an hours yoga class to a daily run for a set amount of days.
Gain something new; attend a new class every week or month to learn something new and that pushes you slightly out of the ordinary.

RideLondon- Essex 100
The world’s greatest festival of cycling RideLondon- Essex 100 returns on Sunday 29 May 2022, with a new format and exciting new routes
The RideLondon-Essex 100 is a unique opportunity to ride 100 miles on traffic-free roads through the heart of London and neighbouring Essex. It will start and finish in the centre of the capital, with 60 miles of rolling roads through some of Essex’s most beautiful countryside and villages in between. The full route will be announced in early 2022.

London 2 Brighton Challenge
Now in its 10th year over 2,000 adventurers will take on the Capital to Coast route and test their grit over the Bank Holiday weekend. Richmond-Upon-Thames is the start, and it’s over the North Downs with wonderful Surrey & Sussex countryside to half way at Turners Hill. The full 100 km route heads over the South Downs before the welcome sight of the Brighton coastline comes in to view. You’ll get full support & hospitality all the way – and with half, and quarter distance options also available
