    Woking & Sam Beare Hospice are pleased to announce the following position:

    Advanced Nurse Practitioner

    We are a patient-centred charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to thousands of people each year with advanced life-limiting illnesses who live in Northwest Surrey, also providing support to their careers and families inpatient homes, in care or nursing homes or through its In-Patient Unit in the Hospice; as well as through the Bradbury Wellbeing Centre.

    Clinical colleague

    A successful Advanced Nurse Practitioner will:

    • work as an autonomous clinical practitioner; supporting the provision of holistic palliative care, working closely with members of the multi-professional team (MDT).
    • work with the MDT and other Agencies to ensure compliance with local and national guidelines directed at the care of patients with life limiting illnesses.
    • provide high quality palliative and end of life care through the giving of information and specialist advice, training and education.
    • participate in a seven day per week operational service including OOH provision.

    A successful candidate will have:

    • Registered Nurse with NMC Registration
    • Post registration qualification in Palliative Care
    • Independent Nurse Prescriber
    • Advanced clinical assessment
    • Evidence of Master’s level learning or working towards this
    • Evidence of substantial CPD in management and clinical subjects


    Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not limiting in this position.
