Celebrating Volunteers week

1st – 7th June 2018 is Volunteers Week celebrating the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.

At Woking & Sam Beare Hospices we have over 800 amazing volunteers working for us in a huge variety of roles, retail assistant’s in one of our seventeen charity shops, receptionist’s at the hospice, providing complementary therapies to in patients and day care patients, Ebay assistants spotting the gems donated to our warehouse to help raise vital funds or working at our new hospice café.

There are lots of reason why people choose to volunteer, the opportunity to give something back to a community charity that once supported them or their families or a chance to develop new skills but for whatever reason it may be we simply couldn’t manage without you.
