Despite a pandemic, a virus variant and Storm Eunice wrecking the show marquee, the Chertsey Panto still managed to go ahead with their interpretation of “Alice in Chertseyland” earlier in March this year. The cast and crew set out to hold 3 incredible show times with all ticket sales in aid of the Hospice, raising an incredible £5901.96 for the Hospice.
The annual community event is written, directed and performed by a group of local friends, who all live in and around the Chertsey area. In its ninth year of production the group have set out for another fabulous event and next years is certainly not to be missed.
“We do it for Woking and Sam Beare hospice because many of us have a personal connection with their fabulous work. We are so grateful for what they do, and hope that this small contribution will help more people to have their support when such hugely difficult times hit.” Kayte Cable
“We would like to say a huge thank you to the cast and production team of The Chertsey Panto, once again they have delivered a stellar performance and outstanding fundraising in aid of Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care. We really appreciate their continued support and we are already looking forward to next year’s Panto!” comments Sophie, Community Fundraiser
