Woking Football Club Wing Walk

On the 19th May Woking Football Club took part in a daring Wing Walk challenge in support of our hospice.
The day started at 7am to catch a coach to the venue – a private airfield in the Cotswolds.
There was a lot of nervous conversations being had on the bus and the team decided to select envelopes to decide the order of the participant.
The order was: 1. Daniel O’Sullivan 2. Alan Dowson 3. Tommy Block 4. Jodie Selley 5. Rich Ewins 6. Steve Knight 7. Mandy Black 8. Josh Casey
Each participant was nervous as they approached the plane, however all stated that once they were strapped in and set off that it was absolutely an amazing experience.
The weather was superb and the sun blessed up right up until the last participant took part.
Over £6,500 has now been raised via the Just Giving page.
“Completed the Wing Walk, I was the first one to get up there and do it. It’s fantastic the Hospice has managed to raise over £5,000 through sponsorship and donations hopefully we can keep that going and thank you!” Daniel O’sullivan, Woking FC Media Assistant
“What an experience and great to do for the charity, really appreciate the donations.” Tommy Block, Woking FC First Team – midfielder
“I can honestly say that the support and encouragement that Woking Football Club have for each other is so lovely to see. They work well together and it was a privilege to work alongside them in this amazing event. Their continued support for the Hospice is greatly appreciated and we look forward to working with them in future” Krista Lougher, Community Fundraiser
