Help us be here for another 25 Years
Join us in our 25th year as we celebrate the care we have given to many thousands of people with life limiting and terminal illnesses over the last two and half decades, as well as providing support services to their carers and families.
The Hospice has evolved over the years but our 25th Anniversary is not just a time to reflect on the past but it is also a time to recognise how far we have come.
From a new 20-bed Hospice in Goldsworth Park to being a vital part of the North West Surrey Healthcare Economy our relevance and role has never been so important.
We worked tirelessly alongside our NHS colleagues throughout the pandemic and have had to adapt to the changing needs of our community to become the “hub” for Palliative Care and End of Life services across the whole of North West Surrey. In this new role, the Hospice is now providing specialist “in reach” services to its local Acute Trust [Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Hospitals Trust].addition, a “Direct Access Model” has been introduced which has facilitated the rapid transfer of Palliative Care and End of Life patients from St Peter’s Hospital to the Hospice. This has resulted in an extension of Hospice care to an increased number of patients and an improvement in the quality of care delivered.
The vision of one exceptional man, our Founder and Life President Rhod Lofting, and his wife Elizabeth that saw the doors of the original Woking Hospice at Hill View Road open in December 1996. Rhod was the driving force who had the vision to prevent anyone else from experiencing what he went through when his father required end of life care.

Now in our 25th year the Hospice will be hosting a series of special events throughout 2022 to celebrate, remember and thank those who have enabled access to our care that is free of charge.
